Frequently Asked Questions

Does Earth+Sky take insurance?

We accept HSA and FSA cards. Even though we don’t take insurance we can provide an invoice to submit to your insurance for reimbursement when payment comes out of pocket. We do not deal with insurance companies directly, we’re considered out of network for them.  We cannot guarantee your insurance will accept your reimbursement claim.

What is your cancellation/rescheduling policy?

We require notice of  a minimum of 24 hours in advance for any cancellations or changes to your appointment. Your appointment time is reserved just for you - any late cancellation, change to your appointment or missed appointment leaves a hole in the therapists' day that could have been filled by another client. As such, if you give less than 24 hours notice for any reason, you will be charged for the full price of the scheduled appointment. Some examples of changes that do not exempt you from this policy are changes in travel plans, work emergencies, loss of child care and unexpected illness. If you arrive late for your appointment, we will do our best to provide your full session. In the event that your appointment needs to be shortened because you arrive late, you are still responsible for the full service fee. At our discretion, amounts owed may be debited from existing account credits, gift certificates or series packages.

Cancellations due to COVID: If you or someone in your household has COVID we will not charge you. We will reschedule your appointment at the time of cancellation.

Cancellation due to Labor: If you go into labor, we will take payment for the amount of the scheduled session and put it towards an account credit for it to be used at a later date.

What is your policy on tardiness?

We encourage our clients to be 5-10 minutes early to their appointments. If you’re late for your appointment, it could cut into your treatment time. If you’re more than 30 minutes late you’re considered a no show and will be charged for the entirety of the appointment.

Does Earth+Sky have parking?

We do not have a parking lot. If you decide to drive to your appointment, please plan to come with enough time in advance for you to park and be on time for your appointment. Our area relies on street parking and sometimes it can be difficult to find a parking space. There is a parking garage on 51st between Center and 5th Ave. Please plan ahead before driving in.

Is Earth+Sky wheelchair accessible?

Yes! We are wheelchair accessible upon request, please let our office know prior to your appointment so we can be ready for your arrival.

I’m trying to enter my gift certificates as a payment option for my appointment, why can’t I book?

We love when our clients come in with gift certificates! But to book an appointment you must first set up an account through our booking system, Jane, which requires a credit card to finalize. We never charge a credit card until the end of your appointment and you are checking out.  If you don’t want to use your credit card and instead want us to use your gift card please let our front desk staff know prior or after your appointment.

Does Earth+Sky have massage and acupuncture packages? Can I share a package?

Yes! If you’re interested in purchasing a package we have packages for all services. Some packages do not cover some initial treatments so please ask our office for details.

If you want to buy a shareable package it needs to be disclosed to the front office before you purchase your package. Shared packages are checked out differently. If you purchase a package for yourself, it cannot be shared later.

I want to book for someone else, how can I do that?

You can book a family member or friend through our booking portal! You can also link your accounts so you can fill out intake forms for them and/ or pay for their appointment with your credit card on file. You can achieve this by logging into your account and creating a profile for them. * Appointments should be under the person who is receiving the treatment.*

When to book Acupuncture around IVF and IUI:

It is ideal to book an initial acupuncture session 1-3 months before you plan to start the cycle. Once the cycle has started it is ideal to come in weekly. Your acupuncturist will review the best times to book during your first session. We recommend purchasing packages.

When to book Labor Prep Acupuncture:

Acupuncture is great throughout all of pregnancy, but if you just recently heard about acupuncture for labor prep that is wonderful. It is ideal to book Labor Prep Acupuncture starting around 39 weeks or close to induction. It is most effective to have a couple sessions leading up to labor. We offer 3 and 6 packages and if there are any left over they can be used in postpartum.
