Cynthia McCright, LMT

Massage Therapist & Co-owner

Cynthia combines deep listening with her vast expertise to create tailored, supportive sessions for each individual in her massage practice. She loves to work with clients who have yet to receive professional massage therapy, as well as those who may have had a less than satisfying experience in the past. By working largely in a theta brainwave state, Cynthia facilitates a unique space where you can tap into your subconscious, relax, and more easefully restore to your desired physical and spiritual capacity. Clients testify that Cynthia is able to provide relief in ways they did not even realize they needed when they walked through the door. You can feel safely held in Cynthia’s strength, too: she is a Pro-Strong Woman and was 2016’s 4th Strongest Woman in the World. In addition to her education at the Swedish Institute, Cynthia is trained in Breast Massage with Nira Healing Arts, Trauma Informed Body Work, Lymphedema Maintenance, and more, and she is a Member of the SGI-USA Buddhist organization. One of Cynthia’s greatest joys is to help clients “create a framework for how they can use massage to improve their quality of life.”

Kenna Bouvet, LAc

Acupuncturist & Co-owner

Kenna’s specialties include women’s health and digestive health, and she is your go-to acupuncturist for pre- and post-natal acupuncture. As a former professional dancer, Kenna brings a personal awareness to a wide array of injuries that she treats in her practice, and she enjoys being part of her client’s overall support systems in gaining more agency over their health. She loves working with children, too. In fact, working with children is what brought her to acupuncture in the first place, after realizing first hand the benefits of this treatment in her own health journey growing up. She brings versatile modalities that are tailored to the age of her younger clients, from newborns to teenagers, and she connects with the entire family by offering lifestyle and diet discussions that work in tandem with her treatments. Kenna’s extensive post-graduate training puts you in extremely capable hands – in addition to her active membership in the Obstetrical Acupuncture Association, her studies include JingShen Pediatric Acupuncture Certification and the Maternal Acupuncture Mentorship Program, as well as certification in facial acupuncture. Simone Burgos, LMT

Massage Therapist

Simone has a special way of working with the root of your body – your belly – that will support your overall health. She worked for many years as a labor doula before diving into massage training and her specialty, Mayan Abdominal Massage. In Central America, Simone studied with midwives from around the world and heard stories of their abilities, despite limited resources, to help women with reproductive and digestive issues in powerful ways. This inspired Simone to bring a similar magic to the table. Her training in manual lymphatic drainage, reflexology, and perinatal care add to her impressive toolkit. While her work benefits everyone, she especially loves helping women to realize a healthy relationship with their bodies. Sessions with Simone have been known to bring prenatal and postnatal comfort, unblock fallopian tubes, and relieve chronic constipation – she also works with women in menopause and addresses scars from cesarean deliveries. She enjoys meeting a client right where they are and can tell a lot about a client’s needs simply by noticing the way they are sitting. If you are looking for a session that will help you embody your powerful earth energy, do not delay in booking some time with Simone.

Colleen Huley, LMT

Massage Therapist

Colleen has developed a strong relationship to the body through her years in gymnastics, dance, yoga, and acting. She has experienced many surgeries and injuries herself and brings this knowledge and empathy into her practice in a way that provides a welcoming and understanding space for any client. Colleen combines her training in cranio-sacral therapy, myofascial therapy, gua sha, and her studies at the Swedish Institute in the way she sees a body. She has worked with athletes, people with long Covid, and those who have had bad massage experiences in the past to open their body and find potential for greater freedom. She also loves to introduce her clients to different modalities and give them ways to continue caring for themselves and integrating the work. Colleen understands that it is an act of trust to put yourself on someone’s table, and she believes that you are in the seat in your own body. “There is an innate wisdom to your body,” says Colleen. “It’s amazing how much our bodies can heal themselves if we are present.”

Chelsea Hecht, LMT

Massage Therapist

Chelsea views their massage therapy practice as being connected to their dance work, in that it’s a continuation of their study of the body. But they go even deeper: “Our bodies have an inherent emotional and energetic tone that is integrated in our tissue.” Chelsea enjoys creating a space where their clients feel supported – she listens closely to not only your words but also your breath. They are curious about the body’s holding patterns, and strives to meet the client’s goals while treating the fascia, mind, and spirit. In doing so, she is able to develop relationships that make her aware of areas in a client’s body that they didn’t even realize needed some attention. Chelsea has prenatal and labor/postpartum certifications under the mentorship of Kiera Nagle. She is an American Massage Therapy Association member, and she also enjoys working with the womb and the uterus generally. They are always happy to provide a safe space for more queer and trans bodies in their  LGBTQ+ community, who are seeking a supportive space and a session that respects their boundaries. Originally from Minnesota, Chelsea received their BFA in Dance Performance and minor in Arts Management from SUNY Purchase and continues to be an avid learner of movement alongside their training in deep tissue, orthopedic sports massage, Shiatsu, Swedish, Thai, and Tui Na.

LGBTQ Acupuncture Queer Acupuncturist

Jules Rochon, LAc

Acupuncturist

Jules is a Licensed Acupuncturist who specializes in the Kiiko Matsumoto style, which uses a palpation of the body and abdomen to make a constitutional diagnosis. They work by gently needling points of connection to form a conversation with the body, while talking with a client through the treatment. In this way, Jules is able both to treat a client’s chief complaint while also addressing the underlying causes, helping their treatments to work better and last longer. Their approach is informed by additional training in trigger points, cupping, and traditional Chinese medicine. Jules, who also has an MFA in painting and is continuing their therapeutic training through the study of herbs, likes to approach “the weird cases” by problem-solving and figuring out the puzzle with the client and their body. They have a special interest in working with scars and strive to create a comfortable space for folks who might struggle with going to doctors. Jules loves working with queer clients or anyone who has been othered or made to feel like an anomaly elsewhere. In a session with Jules, you will be listened to, and your knowledge of your own body will be trusted and taken into account as they provide a treatment that compliments the other parts of your life.

Modalities: Acupuncture, Cupping, Jin Shin Jyutsu, Pre & Post-Natal Acupuncture, Labor Preparation Acupuncture.

Ramiro Rodriguez, LMT

Massage Therapist

Ramiro’s holistic approach to the healing process began in childhood, when he would bring herbs to healers in Mexico and observe their work. His extensive training in perinatal massage, advanced sports massage, and techniques such as Tui Na and Southern Thai massage have added to his conviction in the importance of touch for all humans. Rather than viewing massage as a single pampering experience, Ramiro understands how massage is like exercise: an essential part of the body’s maintenance, with adaptations as the body adjusts. His training in breast and thoracic massage, and his work with nurses, breast cancer patients, and post-surgical clients, gives him a thorough knowledge of the importance of working beyond, to heal injury and pain. Book a session with Ramiro for an approach that is personalized for your body’s age, as well as your unique bone and muscle structure and pathologies – you will benefit from the experience of a highly trained practitioner who also understands the body through his own background as a personal trainer, cyclist, runner, rock climber, and swimmer.

Modalities: Deep Tissue Massage, Holistic Massage, Pre & Post-Natal Massage, Myofascial Release, Breast/Chest Massage.

Ivan Solano, LMT

Massage Therapist

Ivan is a Bronx native and an old soul. He says, “The body is the physical representation of the mind. We are light and our bodies are vehicles for that expression. Receiving bodywork is like taking your vehicle to the shop for a little recalibration.” He is an advocate for self care and keeps his own vehicle in good shape by engaging in Hatha yoga, pranayama exercises and meditation. A practitioner since 2011, Ivan combines his training at the Swedish Institute with a highly creative insight to reconnect his clients with their bodies. With specialties in holistic, deep tissue, and prenatal massage, Ivan loves working with all humans who follow the heart path, and that includes all 12 signs of the zodiac (or 13 signs - if you know, you know). Come in for a session with Ivan to reduce pain, promote relaxation, and maybe learn about his love of muay thai kickboxing, too. His optimistic and healthy outlook on life provides the perfect environment to integrate the care you receive on the table.

Modalities: Deep Tissue Massage, Holistic Massage, Prenatal Massage.

Nicole Acosta Nemergut, LAc

Acupuncturist

Nicole’s acupuncture and herbal medicine practice begins with the understanding that all people's bodies, exactly as they are now, are worthy of great care. Working with the belief that each individual is a part of an ecosystem, she creates a space where you can be assured that  your symptoms and pain will be taken seriously and without assumptions. Says Nicole, “health comes from feeling connected to each other, to our homes and to our own bodies,” and for this reason she is excited to work with families, partners, and people who may not think that body work is for them. Nicole’s own ancestry of farmers and gardeners was a natural precursor to her 2 ½ year apprenticeship with Karen Rose at Sacred Vibes Apothecary, where she studied spiritual and indigenous herbs, and her continued studies at the Pacific College of Health and Sciences. Her work is further informed by her dozen years as a teacher of the history of science and medicine, her training as a street medic to provide immediate aid at protests, and the birth of her own children. As someone who grew up in multilingual households, Nicole is comfortable working across systems, including the different paradigms of thought in Western and Chinese herbalism.

Modalities: Acupuncture, Herbalism.
